Tailoring Training

Offer trade skills training in tailoring and business literacy for young women from low-income households.

Program Overview

Beneath the vibrant colors of Shanzu’s daily life lies a quiet crisis—young women grappling with broken trust, lost chances, and silent suffering. Some have fled abusive homes. Others have sacrificed dreams to care for siblings. They are brave—but weary. This program is their turning point: four months of safety, skill-building, and soul-repair.

Scope of Activities:

  • Safe housing for 30 girls in shared rooms
  • Provision of daily meals, utensils, and cleaning supplies
  • Transport and personal care support for training days
  • Tailoring instruction and business literacy
  • Wellness circles, mentorship, and emotional healing

Testimonial
“I used to sleep on a mat next to goats. My uncle said I wasn’t worth educating. Now I share a room with girls who dream out loud—and I stitch dresses that bring me joy.” — Neema, Trainee

Some threads mend more than fabric. With your support, we clothe these girls in dignity, stitch by stitch, and help them reimagine their lives not as victims—but as architects of beauty, grace, and survival.
