Train youth and women in vocational skills and support them with Key Support Elements: startup toolkits (Tailoring, Carpentry, barber/Salon kits, carwash toolkits, branding materials to build income-generating businesses.
Program Summary
In Shanzu, poverty often hides behind closed doors—inside households where youth rise each day without employment, women carry families without income, and potential remains untapped. The Dignified Livelihoods Program is our answer: a direct pathway to employment, entrepreneurship, and restored self-worth.
We don’t just train. We equip, mentor, and accompany our beneficiaries from training halls to real jobs or small businesses. From tailoring workshops and food production to digital freelancing and eco-enterprises, we match local opportunities with practical skills.
Every participant walks away not just with a certificate—but with tools, hope, and the start of something sustainable.
Scope of Activities
Core Interventions Include:
- Vocational training sessions in trades like tailoring, catering, construction, agro-processing, and digital services
- Business starter kits—tools and materials needed to begin work immediately
- Micro-grant packages to launch solo or cooperative micro-enterprises
- Job linkage support, resume prep, and confidence coaching
- Mentorship meetups with local business owners
- Post-training tracking & follow-up
